Operation Recorder

A showcase of 6 handmade pockets and their narratives conveyed by text based videos with sound effect.

It provides a new method of using a plain cloth police officer’s pocket to document what he uses and how he behaves on a daily basis, aiming at revealing a life pace, complexity of needs, social activities and communicating behaviours. We focus on public audiences who are conducting narratives and decoding actions, others like police officer’s family or police apprentices for recollection purposes. The form which combines physical and digital output allows it to be exhibited in a wider fields of sound, behaviour, object, textile, or material study.
